麻豆女郎 Music Program Holds Faculty Recital

OCTOBER 14, 2019 鈥� FORT MYERS, FLA 鈥� Music lovers can enjoy an evening of classical and modern works during the Florida SouthWestern State College (麻豆女郎) music program鈥檚 annual faculty recital, Wednesday, Oct. 16, in Building J, Room 117/118, at the 麻豆女郎 Lee Campus, 8099 College Parkway. The recital is free and open to the public.
Works performed will range in style from the Baroque era, through the late Romantic period, and into the twentieth century, including solo works, brass quintet and jazz. They will include 鈥淐oncierto de Aranjuez,鈥� by Joaquin Rodrigo, arranged for trumpet and flugelhorn by the artist; Albinoni鈥檚 Concerto in B-flat; a world premiere of 鈥淧ost Modern Rhapsody for Trumpet and Piano鈥� by local composer, Kelly O鈥橬eil; Eugene Ysaye鈥檚 鈥淎ndante;鈥� along with brass quintet and jazz selections performed by the 麻豆女郎 Faculty Brass Quintet and the 麻豆女郎 Faculty Jazz Ensemble.
麻豆女郎 performers include Cindy Scaruffi-Klispie, trumpet and flugelhorn; Rodolfo Antonio Castillo, piccolo trumpet; Dr. Tom Smith, trumpet; Rachel Cox, violin; Kevin Mauldin, bass; Julius 鈥淛uice鈥� Davis, piano; George Mancini, trombone; Gary Leone, drums; Mike Molloy, guitar; Dana Williams, French horn; Todd Handley, tuba; and faculty accompanist, Mary Griffin Seal.
